Dialysis is an artificial replacement for lost kidney function. It maintains the body’s water, sodium, potassium and other elements, while removing toxins from the body. The two main types of dialysis are hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
AccessCare provides In-center Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis training (both CAPD and CCPD) and is one of the very few companies in the United States to offer Staff Assisted, In-Home Hemodialysis.
AccessCare was founded to provide dialysis services to those patients in non-urban areas. The premise was to make dialysis available in the hometown where the patient lived and not force the patient travel a great distance to large facility. Our Denton facility is the latest expansion of that simple concept. By making staff assisted hemodialysis available, we are taking dialysis to where the patient literally "lives"--not just their hometown. If you still want to have your dialysis in a center, we have created a very comfortable and welcoming setting in our Denton center with only 8 chairs. We can accommodate almost any hemodialysis delivery setting.
